Last week I promised I would share photos from our wedding. Â I did not forget, I’m just a little behind in my posting! Â Before I get to the photos I just want to say how important I think it is to have a professional photographer. Â I’m still coming to terms with just how fast our wedding day went by. Â Although I have the best memories of my life, without the photos to show for it, I would feel like I had nothing. Â The great thing about wedding photographers is, there are so many out there, each with their own unique style, that if you find the one that you really click with they will photograph your day exactly as you remember it. Â That’s exactly what we got from Jenna & Matt. Â Their images are exactly the same as the mental images I have in my head. Â They captured all the intimate moments and little details that perfectly represent our day. Â Now I can look back at our images and relive our wedding any day I want. Â That, to me, is priceless. Linnae & Josh were married at Chautaugua Park in Boulder with their reception following at the Rembrandt Yard. Lauren & Calvin were married in the fall of 2006 at gorgeous Perry Park Country Club in Larkspur, Colorado. The location was quiet and secluded and being situated right at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains made for the most beautiful backdrop during their wedding ceremony. Calvin’s dad married the couple making their ceremony extra special. I just have to add that Lauren’s hydrangea bouquet with fiddle fern accents is one of my absolute favorites! The lovely Paige & Laura of L’amour de Vie have contributed the most beautiful weddings to IN Weddings. The first being Kate & Matt, married last year at the Cheyenne Lodge at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. I am very excited about the Real Weddings section of this site. In the coming weeks we’ll be adding many real Colorado weddings to this section. As we add them to the site, I’ll be sure to highlight them here on the blog. We hope you are inspired by these beautiful Rocky Mountain weddings.
First off is Kasey & Taylor’s wedding in Breckenridge, Colorado. Kasey planned their Breckenridge wedding from Denver along with the help of wedding coordinator Keri Scott. The day of the wedding Kasey & Taylor dealt with the inevitable-unpredictable Colorado weather. Heavy rain an hour prior to the ceremony didn’t mean the ceremony would be moved inside. It passed just in time to leave the ceremony plans uninterrupted. I love the contrast of the bridesmaids red dresses and colorful bouquets against the dark, stormy sky. Kasey & Taylor’s personal touch could be found all throughout their wedding. Taylor surprised his groomsmen with personalized cuff links, their guest book table was filled with wedding photographs of the bride and groom’s parents and grandparents and Taylor’s dad flawlessly sang to Kasey & her father for the father/daughter dance.
